Until the 1970s the Sun Inn used to be a farm with a bar; the restaurant area actually housed the cows, hence it is known as the "Cowshed" restaurant. It has old beams and a lovely wooden floor. An interesting motley collection of pictures adorn the wall and there are views across the fields to the Marteg – the river which runs through the village. It is not unusual to look out of the window and see peacocks, herons, cows and sheep whilst one sits and has a meal, as is evident in the following pictures:
As well as the menus below, we can provide for any individual food preferences by prior booking, from vegetarian options, themed meals, buffets and roast dinners to cream teas in the garden! We prefer that groups of people discuss their requirements in advance so we can be well prepared for their visit. All
our ingredients are locally sourced wherever possible.

We cook a traditional Sunday lunch for bookings made in advance
We will cook a 2 course lunch on any other day of the week at reduced cost for groups of 6 or more, but we need to know in advance how many are in your group and your groups menu choice. Please click on the link to see the choices we offer.
