The Sun is a welsh stone building dating from around 1680. It is full of character with old wooden beams, flagstone floors and a wonderful Inglenook Fireplace with a log fire. The Sun started life as a farm with a bar and continued as such until the 1980's when it was re-designed to operate solely as an Inn. More recently, the Sun changed again to become a bed and breakfast establishment.
The Sun is situated on the B4518 in Mid Wales in the village of St Harmon (approximately 3 miles North of Rhayader) surrounded by beautiful countryside. Of note is the Gilfach Nature Reserve which is within walking distance of the Sun. Being out of town, the area is generally quiet, making it an ideal spot to unwind and relax.
