Martin and Linda Gale have owned the Sun Inn for 5 years. They cook meals (theme nights a speciality - see restaurant page), serve drinks, provide B&B and host events.

The Sun is situated on a B road (B4518) in Mid Wales in the village of St Harmon (approximately 3 miles North of Rhayader) surrounded by truly beautiful countryside, making it an ideal spot to revive yourself with a drink and/or a meal. "Best kept secret" is quite an apt description for our local area.
The spacious nature of the Sun Inn, with its garden and large car park, make it an ideal events venue. Of note, the Sun hosts the re-fuelling for the Welsh GB rally, as well as hosting celebration parties and all kinds of get to-gethers, from office meetings to vintage car rallies. We are particularly popular with many groups coming to mid Wales on outward bound pursuits, from vintage car and motorcycle enthusiasts, to campers and canoeists, anglers to artists to name just a few. There is even a hitching rail for horses. On cold days there is a log fire for you to warm yourself after a busy day in the countryside. Please let us know in advance if you are planning to visit us, particularly larger groups, so we can be well prepared for your visit.
