Bed & Breakfast
Martin and Linda have provided Bed & Breakfast at The Sun for several years, and are more than happy to provide an evening meal if wished. The Sun is licensed so guests can enjoy a glass of wine or a beer with their meal. There is an excellent selection of wines to choose from. Meals are home cooked with ingredients that are mostly locally sourced. The menu choice is versatile, from traditional favourites such as steaks and fish and chips through to specialities ranging from paellas to chicken dhansack. Vegetarian options can also be provided and special diets catered for.
The Sun is unique and full of character. The welsh stone building dates from around 1680 and has a certain 'WOW' factor with it's old beams and flagstone floors. There is a lounge area with an Inglenook fireplace, and a log fire is lit when it is chilly. There is also a recreation room with a pool table, darts and football table, and an enclosed garden. There is a large car park.
The Sun is situated on the B4518 in Mid Wales in the village of St Harmon (approximately 3 miles North of Rhayader) surrounded by truly beautiful countryside. Being out of town, the area is generally quiet, making it an ideal spot to unwind and relax. "Best kept secret" is quite an apt description for our local area.
In addition, Martin is a guitarist (used to teach it in a previous life) and is happy to have a jam with any guest that may just happen to be travelling with a guitar!
There are 2 rooms available at the Sun Inn - 1 room with twin beds and 1 room with a double bed.
The tariff is £30.00p.p.p.n. which includes breakfast.
We hope you choose The Sun for your stay, we don't think you'll be disappointed.
